The EPA-licenced state-of-the-art recycling facility at Silverwater in the heart of western Sydney opened in 2017. The facility lets MET Recycling offer its valued clients all over Sydney a competitive and comprehensive service for their tipping and recycling product needs.
Since commencing operations, MET Recycling has repurposed in excess of 99 per cent of all materials imported to its site at Silverwater, and has successfully diverted in excess of two million tonnes of construction waste from landfill since opening.
Material is imported and tipped at the recycling facility, before being separated into different stockpiles (for example, soil, concrete, bricks), crushed, screened and re-screened, then recycled into different products for use in future construction projects.
MET Recycling conducts continuous testing of all materials throughout the recycling process, including testing for chemical levels in accordance with its EPA licence to ensure materials can be accepted and repurposed at the recycling facility.
